In its inaugural 2023 Seoul Smart City Awards, Los Angeles beat 240 other global cities to win a silver medal in the Innovation Category for the MyLA311 App, Website, and Call Center. In the words of the UN judges, Los Angeles demonstrated unique responsiveness to its residents and a commitment to public service at a large scale (2.2 million requests per year). This award was part of the triennial World Cities Summit of Mayors. The ITA GM was requested to represent Los Angeles at this event.
