The Center for Digital Government (CDG) announced the winners of the 5th Annual Government Experience Awards honoring U.S. governments who are building and adapting constituent-centric digital experiences. The City of Los Angeles received the City Government “Project Experience” Award for ITA’s remarkable work on the Connect2LACity and Work From-Home Resources platform, a telework system that took ITA 10 days to implement, enabling 18,173 City users the ability to work from home, allowing City core services to run smoothly, and serve the LA residents when they needed them the most while the pandemic was evolving.
Connect2LACity is a suite of services that provide employees who work from home the capability to securely access their work computers through single sign-on with multi-factor authentication, City smart issued phones (through the City's Mobile Worker program), and employee resources specific to teleworkers that provides a collection of useful information such as setting-up your home office, to mental health resources, to audio/video streams that helped employees (and their families) cope with the pandemic. Congratulations to the entire ITA Telecommute team for the great recognition.
