At its core, ITG is composed of 2 Communications Electricians (CE) and 2 CE Hiring Hall and often partners with the ITA Cable Group for large installation jobs. Staff is tasked daily with maintaining close to a thousand cameras and thousands of security devices that are in operation protecting the safety of fellow City workers as well as City property. Some of these safeguarded locations include world-famous landmarks such as the Hollywood sign and the center of our city’s government, Los Angeles City Hall.
ITG closely coordinates with other City groups, agencies and departments whose objectives of safety and security align with its own to eliminate the costs associated with operating overly redundant security systems. These partnerships also help ITG stay up to date on industry standards, bring awareness of new/emerging security related technologies and allow the City to further extend its ability to protect people and property.

Dear ITA Family,
I hope you have been staying cool this summer and taking some well needed time off. As you know, ITA staff are relied on for many critical tasks. One of those critical tasks is the setup and maintenance of highly sensitive security systems.
So, today's spotlight shines on the hard-working ITA team that makes up the Intrusion Alarms Group (ITG). The ITG is directly under the leadership of Sr. Communications Electrician Supervisor Octavio Saucedo. As part of the Infrastructure Bureau, the ITG is responsible for the planning, installation and maintenance of a variety of security systems throughout the City of Los Angeles.
