ITA’s services touch almost every aspect of critical City operations, especially during the past two years. From department website designs to Internet connectivity, ITA answers the call when the City needs us most. Often this help requires assistance from ITA’s Contract Section to amend or create a new contract. So, our spotlight shines on ITA’s own Maggie McNally and Arik Bibicoff who expertly respond to every contract request.
Contract development demands extensive analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to successfully execute a contract. Maggie and Arik apply these skills daily with their interactions with the City Attorney, CAO, Council offices, Mayor’s office, vendors, and project managers to guarantee the City quickly obtains the necessary contracts with the most favorable terms. Their determination to develop contracts displays both their diligence in their work and also their dedication to revitalizing the City as we recover from the pandemic.
Here is a quick summary of the group’s most recent achievements:
-Developed, negotiated, and executed 80 new and amended contracts in calendar year 2021, a 100% increase from 2020 with only half the number of 2020 staff.
-Selected 30 IT Professionals contractors for departments such as City Attorney, the Mayor’s Office, Transportation, Civil Human Rights and Equity Department, Personnel, and ITA.
-Began the transition of Contract and IT Professionals contract processing to ServiceNow to expedite requests, assist managers in tracking contract status, and facilitate reporting.
-Guided approximately 15 reports through Mayor and Council approval, requiring attendance in Council’s various committees such as the Information Technology General Services Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, and the Personnel, Audits, and Animal Welfare Committee.
