StateScoop's fifth annual LocalSmart Awards highlight the people and projects making city, county and municipal government better.
On September 2023, more than 200 leaders and projects were nominated by members of the state and local government IT community, and on Friday, December 8, ITA General Manager and CIO Ted Ross and Chief Information Security Officer Tim Lee were recognized as winners of the GoldenGov: City Executive of the Year and Local IT Leader of the Year in the StateScoop's LocalSmart Awards 2023!
More than 815,000 votes were cast to select the 39 winners, including City of LA IT community votes from ITA and ITPC members Citywide. The LocalSmart Awards honors the visionaries who transform local government to make a difference in citizens' lives. Ross was among a leading group of luminaries from across the nation and was recognized for his work leading and transforming the navigation of a new technology landscape with innovative ideas and inspiration. Lee was recognized for his work in leading the charge to transform the community with technology.
